Construction of new housing developments, roads, and stores is a boon to related businesses. It's also fascinating to watch new structures being erected. The purposes of this exhibit are multifold; first, so that posterity can see what "Building X" looked like before, during, and after construction or remodeling, and second—(and more importantly)—so that future Walla Walla residents can revel in the scenic open fields that used to exist, back before they put in that access road, tightly-crammed housing development or international retail store.
